Companion Services at Glamorgan Care Centre

Glamorgan Care Centre understands the value and importance quality one to one interactions play in maintaining a healthy and positive mental state. As such, we offer a few companion options for our residents. to edit.
In- house Companion Service: Our Glamorgan Companion Program offers our residents tailored companion services both within the facility and out in the community. All companions for this program are recruited internally, making the program unique as companions are quickly acquainted & familiarized with the resident(s). External Companionship: Glamorgan Care Centre collaborates with Community Access for People in Continuing Care (CAPCC), a government funded organization. This program gives our residents the opportunity to pair up with a trained companion and participate in community recreational and leisure activities, as well as, volunteering opportunities, to stay connected. A referral process is required to join, and eligibility requirements are considered. Please email [email protected] for more information about the program.
Community Resources: The Recreational Therapists at Glamorgan Care Centre work with residents one- to- one to introduce and utilize community mental health agencies that promote mental well-being. Organizations such as Potential Place, Elements, and CMHA are all resources residents are encouraged to join. Assistance through referral processes is provided as needed by the Recreational Therapist.

· Provide one-on- one time and extra support
· Addressing all areas of well-being: physical, social, cognitive, emotional, and spiritual
